Detail of one of the dovetail cuts in the frame. The triangular cut sits inside a shoulder cut. The matching timber is the size of the shoulder cut and the end is cut with a matching dovetail so the end of the timber fits into this one. The resulting joint can't pull out since the dovetail prevents it from slipping.
